Says Sir Change-a-Lot:
This is the United States of America and no matter what some agency may says we always have been and always will be a triple A country. Despite all our challenges we still have the best universities, some of the most productive workers, the most innovative companies, the most adventurous entrepreneurs on earth. What sets us apart is not only that we have the capacity but also the will to act. The determination to shape our future. The willingness in a democracy to work out our differences in a sensible way. And move forward not just for this generation but for the next generation. And we’re going to need to summon that spirit today.
Clap louder, jerk. The people you just shafted — yet again — are having a hard time hearing your cheap talk over the din of their world crashing all about them.
Does Obama really think anyone buys his vapid cheerleading any more? “USA Number 1!” is inadequate as a long-term fiscal strategy, and while he’s busy claiming that the United States will somehow always be awesome, he’s actively doing what he can to ensure the exact opposite outcome with his actions. As we all know, actions speak much louder than words, so, if he really wants to get his message to the people who will be voting in a little over a year, perhaps he should try doing something positive for them for a change. At the very least, he could stop screwing them for a change.
