If these are the voices of wisdom ruling our public discourse, then we’re *so* fucked:
You don’t want to think if you get in bed with Uncle Sam he’s going to strip you naked, chain you to the bed, leave you there and then take nasty pictures of you and then put them on the Internet. Because that’s what’s been happening.
Mensa-member and Fox Business Network anchor Dagen McDowell dropped that bit of wisdom to describe the attempts by Congress to tax some reason back into the AIG bonus disaster. I’m not sure what’s more disturbing: the Uncle Sam S&M metafor, or the fact that she clearly has No. Fucking. Clue. what she’s talking about, yet is allowed and encouraged to go on the air and spew forth.
